Sgrafitto
My Sgrafitto choice was to make a big plate/bowl. On the inside I traced out a design that I got off the internet. The design has lots of lines that make it look like a very pretty and summery.

-What techniques did you learn while creating your sgraffito project?
When I was creating my sgrafitto, I learned how to trace out my designs, and I learned some new techniqes on how to scratch out the black paint.
-When looking for images, what kind of imagery were you looking for? Why did you choose the image you did? (Please go beyond "Because it looked cool"...you will not receive full credit for this answer).
I was looking for just black and white patterns and designs, mostly flowers and moons etc. Then I came across this designs (which is above) , I thought it would look great with the shape of my project that I wanted to do. I kind of had like a summery feel to it.
-What was your greatest success with your sgraffito project? Why do you think you were so successful?
I think the end result of my project before it got fired was very successful. It looked exactly like the design. There wasn't a lot of mistakes.
-What aspects of your sgraffito project do you think you could have improved upon? How would you go about doing this?
I think it could have made it look more clean. I did a second sgrafitto and I definitely made that look more clean. There wasn't a lot of things that didn't make it look clean.
-Were you able to collaborate with more people around you to ask for help or get suggestions? If not, how could you reach out to your peers during class time?
I did actually, I talked to my friends who sat around me and asked which should be white and which black.
-Since the pinch pot project, did you spend time outside of class looking at other artists work? If so, which artists/where? If not, how could you start incorporating this into your daily practice?
I didn't look at any artists , but I could start because that could help me with the backgrounds of the projects were doing in class.
