pinch pot/ Organic pot
My pinch pot was the shape of the circle, so it looked like a pot. On the inside I did a design of swirls. The swirls went around the whole inside of the pot. The organic pinch pot was supposed to be natural, so I made mine look like a flower. My process work and finished work shows, both the pinch pots.

reflection questions
1. How did brainstorming affect the final result of your project? What were the benefits of brainstorming ideas before beginning your project? How could you improve your brainstorming techniques?
Brainstorming helped affect my final project because I had some good ideas to choose from. The benefits were that I had the drawing/idea in front of me so it made it easy to create. I don't think I need to do anything to improve my brainstorming techniques, I think there good!
2. What was the most difficult part of creating your pinch pot? Either your Element and Principles pinch pot or your organic pinch pot.
The most difficult part of creating my pinch pot was putting the pedals on. I had to slip and score every single one. It was my organic pinch pot.
3. What are you most proud of? What do you think you could have done better?
I am most proud of what it turned out to look like in the end. I think it looked really good.
4. What techniques did you learn/use while creating your pinch pot?
I learned to slip and score everything, because otherwise the pedals wouldn't stick.
5. How did your surrounding work environment affect your final product? Did you talk to others around you to get suggestions? Did you get ideas from working with other students? If not, how would this be helpful in creating a future piece?
I talked to others for suggestions, and I got some good ideas.
6. Did you spend time outside of class looking at other artists work (i.e. museums, on the street, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)? If so, which artists did you look at? If not, how could you incorporate this into your daily lifestyle while you're in Ceramics?
I didn't, but I could go on instagram or and thing really and look at ceramics pieces and artists.
